Juice Cleanse (3 to 7 days) & Colon Hydrotherapy

Does the word detox make you nervous? It shouldn’t! When a detox is done right, it’s just another word to describe a diet rich in whole foods. By removing artificial flavors and chemical substances from your diet, you’re helping prepare your body to live a healthier and more natural lifestyle. Detoxes like this one can help you lose weight, treat acne/other skin conditions and provide many other benefits.

What is a Juice Cleanse ?

During a cleanse, a person limits their diet to only fresh vegetable and fruit juices and water for anywhere from a few days to several weeks. The fast focuses on freshly made, unpasteurized juice, so the usual bottles of OJ that you would pick up at the corner store wouldn’t be allowed.

Juice cleanse eliminate toxins from your system by drinking only juice from raw vegetables and fruits so your entire body feels better and reacts both internally and externally.

What are the benefits of a Juice Cleanse

  • Increases Energy
  • Improves Digestion
  • Glowing Skin
  • Improves sleep
  • Eliminates cravings such as, sugar and coffee
  • Aids in better eating habits after completion
  • Reduces risk of cancer by unlocking all nutrients in raw food

When & Why should I do Colon Hydrotherapy while on a Juice Cleanse ?

Colonics should be done on Day 1, Day 3 or 4 and Day 7 – this will give a deep internal cleanse and help flush out the toxins and remove the matter that could have been residing on your colon wall for months or even years. Keep in mind this is considering if you already have healthy bowel movement so if you are experiencing constipation and so on, you may need to continue with the colonics for a few more sessions after the juice cleanse is over to reach your ultimate goal.

After you complete the cleansing program, years and years of toxic waste will have been cleaned out of your body. Your intestines can now do what they were designed to do; assimilate nutrients and eliminate waste normally and quickly. This stops the bloating, tiredness and constipation a lot of people experience as part of their everyday life.

Who Should Not do a Juice Cleanse ?

People undergoing chemotherapy, diabetics, people with nutritional deficiencies, people more than 10 lbs underweight and people with kidney disease should not try a juice fast. The high sugar consumption involved in juice fasts can skyrocket blood-sugar levels in diabetics, which can result in fatigue, unexplained weight loss, blurry vision, excessive hunger and thirst etc.
The high levels of potassium and minerals from excessive juice consumption can build up in the blood to hazardous levels in those with kidney disease. And the high levels of antioxidants and low levels of protein can be dangerous for those undergoing chemo.

The fiber and some of the antioxidants found in the skins and seeds of fruits and vegetables are often eliminated in the juicing process. For example, the white pulp in an orange provides flavonoids, but that’s usually left behind so it can lack of some nutrients.

Tips

If a certain recipe is unappealing to you, make substitutions that are similar. For example, if a recipe calls for Kale but you can’t get any Kale or just don’t like Kale, then replace it with Spinach or even Broccoli. It’s okay to replace, substitute, or change up the recipes.

It is normal to experience headaches, and strong cravings. Remember to just stay focused and stay on the juice. Make an extra Juice to drink if you feel like you are about to cave in and eat something solid.
